The Recruiters’ Guide to Courses & Campuses (RGCC) 2008
In 2006 work and Real World launched the RGCC, a report that’s designed to help employers make an informed decision about the most appropriate strategy to follow in order to identify, reach and attract the people they need. There are many aspects to the report that should be helpful to Graduate Recruiters in creating, or adjusting, communications and marketing campaigns, identifying suitable criteria for cut-off points for application and gain a clearer understanding of the graduate market place. In 2008 there will be two reports released. In May the RGCC Campus Forecaster delivering data that relates to people finishing their university courses in summer 2009 – the people that most graduate recruiters will be trying to reach in the autumn milkround. To supplement this initial data we will be hosting sector specific events click here for more details. Later in the year the full report will examine the trends and changes within the student demographic, opening the debate about how graduate employers could respond to the challenges posed. To purchase the full report (from £300 + VAT) email 2008@rgcc.org.uk. Some thoughts following previous RGCC research: “Self respecting graduate recruiters understand the real value of knowing their market. The RGCC is an excellent piece of research, endorsed by the AGR, and a valuable edition to any recruiters’ tool kit.” Carl Gilleard, Chief Executive, Association of Graduate Recruiters (agr) “The single most useful piece of research I have seen in all my time in graduate recruitment.” A senior recruiter “The RGCC is a fantastic piece of work. For the first time it will allow employers to accurately pinpoint which universities and degree subjects to target for their recruitment campaigns and really understand the quality of the graduate applications they receive.” Martin Birchall, Managing Director, High Fliers Research “The RGCC is one of the most thought-provoking pieces of research I’ve come across. It offers a new diagnostic tool for employers currently seeking to recruit graduates. With the substantial growth in student numbers this research reinforces the need for recruiters to think creatively about the selection criteria they use to recruit graduates.” Robin Mellors-Bourne, Development Director, Careers Research & Advisory Centre (CRAC) |
