The Full Report

This is the fourth year that Real World and work have published the Recruiters’ Guide to Courses and Campuses. This year’s research covers two data sets, both sourced from HESA: students who started university in September 2005 and the cohort that graduated in July 2006.

The research that’s been undertaken by work and Real World interprets the data to give important insights into pre–university qualification, gender and ethnicity, allowing graduate recruiters to target their marketing activity more accurately. That’s why the AGR fully support and endorse the work that’s been undertaken.

Whether you’re interested in identifying the courses which attract the ‘best’ graduates, or understanding how ethnic minority students are achieving in higher education, or the extent to which women are outperforming men, and where – the data on the flip side of this sheet should help. And if you use it to inform your targeting strategy it should go some way towards helping you to identify the campuses and courses in which you will have the most success reaching the graduates you need.

A comprehensive breakdown of all the research is provided in the full report. As one senior recruiter put it: ‘The single most useful piece of research I have seen in all my time in graduate recruitment.’

The report is available to buy at £300 + VAT. There are also specific reports available for Finance, Law, Engineering, IT and Diversity.

AGR
Attracting and retaining the cream of the nation’s graduate talent is getting harder and you need all the help you can get. That’s where we come in.

Founded in 1968, AGR, the Association of Graduate Recruiters, is an independent, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting employers in all aspects of graduate recruitment. We represent over 700 organisations that, between them, offer a high proportion of graduate opportunities in the UK.

We do this by delivering premier services, influencing policy, challenging the status quo, and recognising that the marketplace is global, diverse and dynamic.
